Best Cadet

COMPETITION Info!

The second annual EHHS Blackjack Best Cadet  Competition will be held on May 15, 2026 at East Hamilton High School.

     The competition is limited to 100 individual Cadets. Schools can register up to five males and five females. Priority for slots goes to HCS JROTC programs. Slots not paid for by HCS JROTC programs by 1 March 2025 will be opened up to JROTC programs in the region on an invitational basis.

Events: There are eight events that are all equally weighted at 100 points, with a total possible 800 points.

1. Fitness – Modified Cadet Challenge similar to JCLC 

2. Orienteering 

3. Rifle – Standing only

4. JROTC Academics – Google Forms test on JROTC common curriculum

5. Drill – basic individual skit. Recorded commands

6. Class B Uniform inspection

7. Board – 

8. Hands on Knots
